The myterious Assian Red Cap

Seoul, South Korea

It’s been a while since we las saw each other. We used to work together, but now my Argentinian friend is dedicated to do businesses in different parts of the world on behalf of a large European corporation.

As usual, we meet in Amsterdam and we went for a few beers in a local brewery in the city Centre.

Again, planning “a few beers” let’s say, was a miscalculation from our side.

After catching up about life, he decided to tell me about his latest adventure in Asia.

Seoul is the place and after reaching an agreement with a local company, both sides agreed to go out and celebrate (at this moment I noticed some level of concern on my friend’s face).

Already at a Karaoke bar, the main characteristic of my friend’s personality started to been exposed in front of the locals, which is: He just doesn’t give a f@ck about what he says!

So, the catastrophe was awaiting. Suddenly, after a few shots of alcohol the inspiration arrived and a “you Koreans don’t know how to f@cking drink” sprinted out of his mouth. That made it enough for some local home-grown business men to take it personal.

Two more rounds and an unknown bottle came along, “you need to try out our Whiskey” said an arbitrary voice. “Is Korean Whiskey” whispered another voice. They formed a circle with my friend included, raising their glasses while the content of the bottle was being spread among the participants.

A big “Geonbae” (cheers in Korean) was shouted and then…

Famous last words from my friend: “This shit is not strong enough!!”.

He doesn’t remembers anything afterwards… next morning he woke up in his hotel room, fully dressed and looking sharp, laying on top of his bed.

Someone took him back to the hotel, but when he asked, no one saw whom. No clues in the room but this. The Sofa in his hotel room was fully wet, with a red Baseball cap on top of it.

The mystery remains until now.
